MOST NECESSARY EVILS STEM FROM A LACK OF FORETHOUGHT TECHNOLOGICALLY SPEAKING. NECESSARY EVILS USUALLY INCORPORATE A COMBINATION OF THESE INERENT PROBLEMS. THIS IS LIKE FINDING A DJINNI IN A BOTTLE. NOONE EVER THINKS TO WISH TO BE THE DJINNI. INSTEAD THIS IS WHAT WE ALL DO. YOU & I.
THE WORLD USES SOMETHING TO THE POINT OF EVERYONE WANTING ACCESS
THE WORLD IS NOT WILLING TO SHARE SOMETHING EVERYONE
WANTS WITHOUT PUTTING A PRICE TAG UPON IT
THE WORLD IS FAR TOO STUPID AS A WHOLE TO LEARN
HOW TO USE ANYTHING EFFICIENTLY AND WISELY
THE WORLD WOULD RATHER LET MOST THINGS BE DONE BY SOMEONE ELSE
IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DO SOMETHING ADMIT IT TO YOURSELF
CHOOSING NOT TO DO SOMETHING IS MUCH MORE RATIONAL
THAN NOT KNOWING HOW TO DO IT AND ACTING LIKE YOU DO
BE A STAR IN YOUR OWN DOPE OPERA OR CANCEL THE SHOW
DO NOT SETTLE FOR A GUEST APPEARANCE IN YOUR OWN LIFE
PLAY ACTING COMPETENCE IS A KIND OF VAMPIRISIM
VAMPIRES DRINK BLOOD AND MEAN TO - THEY FEED ON THE WEAK FOR A REASON
YOUR WEAKNESS IS A PLAGUE TO EVERYONE YOU TOUCH - DON'T BE A CARRIER
BE THE PLAGUE

Let's talk about the things you Read
Once upon a time, in America mostly but Phoenix, Arizona and Silicon Valley, California, and part of Nevada, Oregon, even New Mexico. Was widely published and campaigned on a book tour, this little book.
2000: Consumer Reports Solutions for the Worst Technical Blunder in History:A Survival Guide for the Year 2000 Problem by Jim Lord.
It made a huge impression on the Technopagan culture of America at the end of the 20th Century. Made incredible claims that everything from our cars, our airports, our banking systems, our utility power plants, and even our coffee makers and microwaves were going to cease working, shut down, mass hysteria and madness would ensue...and over night the world would be cast into a post-millennial ice age overnight. Jim Lord claimed to know this. That it was as positively true as acid rain will burn our eyes out. Anyone hearing his message knows it was time to prepare for Y2K.
Sell you stocks, your condos, your vehicles...and now its a full decade later. So it is well long enough to have waited to remember one of the worst and most manipulative publishing fiasco in modern history. I made a lot of money, and even had some infamous fans, namely UFO cult Heaven's Gate, the separatist Aryan Nation groups, Elizabeth Claire Prophet, and a lot of scared new business invested young men and women who had just stuck their neck out in a scary new Internet industry with what they could. Hoping to live the American dream.
In writing this short but to the point article. There is a purpose, things about this book really should be replayed for historical reflective thought. And should not be forgotten for three reasons, all of which are pretty much personal both in opinion and need to expression.
The First One is that this may have been one of the worst examples of a scam artist hoax that has ever been written, this I address directly to Jim Lord should he wish to correspond.
The Second One is that I am glad to see his book is no longer even able to sell for more than 0.01 on Amazon.com. Real justice would be if this book never made anyone - the author, the publisher, or their descendants another red cent.
The Third One is that this book may have single handled already influenced so many people with Millennial Minded madness that future events may cause these same people who survived Y2K in tact and fine - to once again go off the deep end in panic, conspiracy, and paranoia over the upcoming end of the Mayan Long Count calendar on the winter solstice at midnight on the date 12 . 21 . 2012.
"...This book was written because The Y2K Problem scares me to death and I don't think enough is being done to prepare for it. The purpose of the book is to help the reader make those critical preparations. Here are the most important things I want you to know when you have finished...'
'...A Survival Guide For The Year 2000 Problem:
1. How to protect your financial assets from Y2K related problems
2. How to safeguard your critical, private information from Y2K losses and contamination
3. How to protect yourself against the physical dangers caused by the Y2K Crisis
4. How to influence decision makers to take action on Y2K " - Jim Lord

4. How to influence decision makers to take action on Y2K " - Jim Lord
This is an actual excerpt from Jim Lord's Book on the Y2K disaster that was impending, or the 'Millennial Bomb' as he calls it over and over again in the book. And don't take my word for it, there were thousands and thousands of intelligent people, business men and women, scientists, ...all of them much smarter than I am at 41 years old - everyone of them sucked into this profiteering propaganda that Lord and others like him spread. Their only goals being obvious, quick influence on an expansive computer market, bad investments and debts from their own failure to produce successful computer market products, and to make some big quick, cold hard cash before the last toll of the 1999 years' bell ringing.
But despite that there were quite a number of folks who did fall for the scam that was Y2K, most industry people can think of at least three that didn't fall for it, not even a little bit...anyone know who it was?
Well the first one should be obvious, Amazon.com. That was the biggest selling Christmas season for the Internet in world history. More on line gift cards were purchased than products for the first time ever in retail history. Good show boys.
Next one coming to mind has to be...
Google who is Created: September 1998 and opens its first office in a garage in California.
And finally - MySpace gets itself started: August 19, 1999 was originally an on line storage and file sharing firm but was shut down in 2001. The social networking site in its present form launched in July 2003. It was set up 2003 by Tom Anderson, Chris De Wolfe, and a small team of programmers. MySpace now has close to 100 million users. The site lets users build a personalized home page, blogs, photos, music, and a messaging system.
6 years later, media tycoon Rupert Murdoch paid 580m for the site.
Not to forget mentioning the even more important landmark. The Dot com Bubble Bursts: January 14, 2000 as it reaches its peak when the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at a record level never reached before or since. On March 10 the NASDAQ Composite Index also reached an all-time high. Soon after, the markets began to crash and with it went many of the start up companies bankrolled during the dot com boom.
By August of 2000, the Internet officially reaches the marker of 20 million online websites, and counting. The 21st Century has officially arrived, and Y2K has come and gone like a bad winter dream. Except for those that got led down the primrose cultish fantasy of cybernetic doom saying spurred by this, and only this book influencing everyone from the rich, to the poor, and cutting them down with equal indifference.
The only way to make changes about was John Lord nor his book, any longer but about the similarities between the Y2K hysteria, and the just as blindsided view that many persons I know are beginning to shape about the 2012 Planetary Alignment that is less than two years away. I know some of you are just being exposed to this event and information concerning it, and some of you may react in an unsure or state of worry, But it is equally possible the Mayan Calendar ending might just be the stone age astronomers equivalent of Y2K...the calendar ends, because they found out nothing more than their calculations were off - and maybe they just suddenly found themselves at a crossroad. And the calendar way just a tool of their observations.
That alone can barely sum it up in the immortal words aside not to anyone who may disagree with my posture on this issue, I would not want me putting anyone down on on a high horse. Just somethings need to be said publicly, when the evidence is a 100 percent against the truths presented...
So you really want to practice the occult, magick and witchcraft, but are you willing to read some of the more important books on the subject to expand your mind? Personally I think these are the 20 most important books on the occult and magick for the serious practitioner. Each I have chose for my own reasons, and opinions...but all have alchemical knowledge and value to the serious minded practitioner of the occult and other such arts. Noticing the large amount of people that are interested in the occult, magick, and witchcraft on the Associated Content and elsewhere. And there is a lot of good basic information being given. But the truth is there is a line you cross eventually where natural ability and ritual expertise must be complimented with scholarship in the more esoteric disciplines of alchemy, history, and magickal theory - otherwise you will just keep generating power without purpose or understanding of how to use it.
Now this is for those who want to seriously pursue magickal practice as an art, and it is recommended that you also compliment this with learning in science, literature, and psychology to become a modern Magus. But for arguments sake, here are the 20 books that I feel every occultist, magician, or witch should read in order to become adept and progress to that higher level of wisdom and magickal power.
1. A Criminal History of Mankind by Colin Wilson
2. The Secret Teachings of All Ages by Manly P. Hall
3. Magick in Theory and Practice by Aleister Crowley
4. The Three Books of Occult Philosophy by Aggrippa Von Nettesheim
5. Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll
6. Animal Farm by George Orwell
7. Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler
8. The Nag Hammadi Library by James M. Robinson
9. People of the Lie by M. Scott Peck
10. Valis by Phillip K. Dick
11. Le Morte de Arthur by Thomas Malory
12. The Annotated Dracula by Bram Stoker
13. The Call of Cthulhu by H.P. Lovecraft
14. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien
15. Danse Macabre by Hans Holbein
16. The Anatomy of the Body of God by Frater Achad
17. The Complete Works of William Shakespeare by William Shakespeare
18. Junkie by William S. Burroughs
19. The Morning of the Magicians by Louis Pauwels and Jacques Bergier
20. Everything You Know Is Wrong : The Disinformation Guide to Secrets and Lies by Russ Kick
I hope this is helpful and enjoyable to those of you wanting to read and learn more about the occult and magick. Love is the will, love is the law.
