The Devil loves California, cause everyone knows their souls are sealed
Everyone gets high, works nine to five, and is willing to kill or steal
Then he came across this young girl shaved, tattooed, selling hydroponic pot

So the Devil bought her last half an ounce then says,"Girl let me tell ya what..
Ain't too many know it, but I'm a riddle spinner too..."
Then he hit her with an devilish stare and says, "I'll make a bet with you...
Now you slay pretty good riddles, but won't you give this serpent his due
I bet a riddle of golden ass and soul, cause this devil rhymes better than you..."

The girl said, "My names Sunny, and in my surfer girl tanned brown skin
I'll take those odds, then double your bet, cause I'm the bitch who always wins..."

Honey milk and silver spoons, with guns and stripper bars
Because hells broke loose in Santa Cruz and evil here is art
If he wins he gonna skin your naked bones for gold
And if you loose California get your soul

The Devil grins, his wicked face, it says, "Let's blast this ghetto."
Amplified bass speakers appearing from the air like satellite radio
His telemetry signals circuitry and he blew his competition one cold kiss
Then a thousand fallen angels joined his stardust band to make music dark like this

When the Devils band finished, Sunny shouted, " That might rock the house for some
You best listen up, grow some hair, then let a California girl show y'all how its done."

All the leaves are brown in the golden sun

If you ever get out West of San Francisco
Watch out for those devil people

The surf was tidal ebbing, the Devil hung his head, in agony and defeat
His sharpest golden riddle had bare compared to Sunny improvised break beats
