DEAR JOURNALISTS OF THE WORLD,

You were intrigued by us when we took on the financial sector by attacking Visa, Mastercard, and Paypal as part of Operation Payback. Many of you became enamoured with us during Operation Tunisia and applauded our efforts. Some of you are now paying close attention to Operation Algeria. We know that we have gained support from even a few of you. Those few are hoping against hope that our unconventional methods will continue to have an effect on people, perhaps even the world. Those few admire us, if for no other reason than the fact that, in a world full of apathy, a world filled with people who don't even bother to read the information you painstakingly present, we are trying to do something. This intrigues you. At the very least, it inspires you to keep an eye on us, hoping we continue to take newsworthy actions.

You know that, whether you are risking your own safety - perhaps even your own life - to share the truth, or whether you are beholden to your dictators or your advertisers, unable to write anything they do not approve, we, Anonymous, are on your side and are fighting for you and your freedoms. You, the journalists, reporters, and bloggers. You, the newspapers, television networks and websites who hunt down and disseminate information. We are fighting for you.

Some of you have recorded milestones of our efforts. Some of you have reported upon them, and some of you have even participated in our fight. You are the press, and you have our gratitude.

We need your help now. From North Africa to Gaza, people are rising up and risking their lives to demand nothing more than basic rights, an end to the corruption, and a fair chance to progress in life. What the Western world is unaware of, and the Western media largely ignores, is the fact that the people protesting and the people dying in the Arab world are just like them. They have the same desire for basic freedoms, similar ambitions for themselves and for their family and friends, the same inherent intelligence and, the same keen sense of injustice as their counterparts in the West when oppressed.

Here is where we need your help. We ask you, the journalists, to bring to the rest of the world the humanity of these revolutions. What we are witnessing are not extremist acts that are committed by misled, ignorant people. Indeed, they are committed by intelligent, but desperate people - people willing to sacrifice themselves in order to inspire their fellow citizens to rally against their oppressors. The world needs human news. The world needs to know who it is that needs their support, and not just the number of casualties or the politics involved.

What we ask is simple. There are people protesting in Algeria, Egypt, Yemen, Albania, Libya, and many other countries at this very moment. Tell us who they are and what it is they want for their country and their people, for now and in the future. So many voices are raised in protest right now and all the world can hear is the noise. Tell us what the people are saying.

Some of you will ignore this message. It announces no new operations, as we are still focusing our efforts on Operation Algeria. This message issues no threats, as you are the press and are always safe from us. If you heed our request, however, it could make all the difference in the world, as it made a difference for the Tunisians to know that they were speaking and the world was hearing their message. Help us do this for Algeria, Egypt, and other countries where the people are imploring to be heard.

Signed,

Anonymous.

We are Anonymous.
We do not forgive the denial of basic human rights.
We do not forget those who assist the oppressed.
To the Tyrannical governments of the world... Expect us.

AnonNews - Everything Anonymous

Life, Freedom and Thought Are Three-in-one, and Are Everlasting and Shall Never Pass Away.

In the last week there has been a flurry of activities world wide that the " Hacktivist " group known as Anonymous has come forward in support of. Until yesterday their interest had centered around helping the people of Tunisia, as their civilian population has gone into a state of civil revolution against their own elected government. In a lapse on the part of the Tunisian government's judgment, they tried to block all citizen access to Internet information including Wilek's, but access as a whole was blocked.
This did not last even part of a day, for the population of Tunisia was put back online via the well implemented strategy of Anonymous. The details are still being reported minute to minute world wide. But thanks in a large part to Anonymous the Tunisian citizens and their revolt appears to be even more successful than could have been expected.
In the State of the Union address this week, President Barrack Obama made this statement that seemed aimed at the actions of Anonymous, "Let us be clear: the United States of America stands with the people of Tunisia, and supports the democratic aspirations of all people."
That statement maybe true, but it does appear that the United States government has taken as a very passive stance concerning Tunisia. If none at all., but this is also true of almost every other government during the recent political crisis erupting in Tunisia.
Yet in the hours before the State of the Union address, something much larger has begun to shift in the wind.
The goals of Anonymous have marched forward in the last two days. Taking on the governments of Egypt, Alberia, and Albania - and using the same strategy as ever, in a supportive capacity for the needs of the citizenship of each country. Their main Anonymous agenda appearing to be keeping the flow of information and access free to the people.

We are Anonymous.
We are legion.
We do not forgive.
We do not forget.
Expect us.
Information about these new goals and other information have been made available freely and ahead of time on the Anonymous network of sites. Some of them are listed below for those who want more information, or just to see for themselves that what is being reported in this article is true.

Before taking any actions in coordination with the citizenship of Egypt, here was the Anonymous public announcement to the citizens of Egypt :

Anonymous can not, and will not stand idly while people are being denied their basic rights and human liberties. Yet, there are still a lot of governments worldwide who fail to even aspire to the standard of freedom that was set by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. These governments believe they have the right and privilege to impose upon their own people an 'official' version of 'reality' which isn't in any way tampered by the truths of everyday life under which its citizens are living. Anonymous believes this is an outright crime which can not go unpunished.
The Egyptian people are living under inhumane conditions; being denied their basic rights to freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of association, and the free access to information. By imposing censorship upon its own people and condemning these freedoms, the Egyptian government has revealed itself to be criminal, and has made itself an enemy of Anonymous.
To the Egyptian Government: Anonymous challenges all those who are involved in censorship. Anonymous wants you to offer free access to uncensored media in your entire country. When you ignore this message, not only will we attack your government websites, Anonymous will also make sure that the international media sees the horrid reality you impose upon your people. Anonymous will not spare anybody who supports this suppression. It is in the hands of the Egyptian government to end this: continue your repression and you will be subject to civil protest - lend an ear to the claim of freedom from your people and the hostilities will cease.
To the Egyptian people: We stand together and united against this oppression. This struggle is not just for you alone, but for the whole of humankind. Citizens can no longer endure their governments abuse. When forced by the threat of oppression, we will be loud as hell - and when the people roar, it will send shivers down the spines of all those who stifle our freedom and take our precious liberties away.
Anonymous are your brothers and sisters, your sons and daughters, your parents and your friends, regardless of age, gender, race, religion, ethnicity, or place of birth. Anonymous is you. You will not be denied your right to free speech, free press, free association and your universal right to freely access information, both in real life and through the internet.
Join us on the IRC - irc.anonops.ru #opEgypt ! Join us in this battle for freedom of information worldwide! For as Kahlil Gibran once said: "Life without freedom is like a body without a soul and freedom without a thought is like a confused spirit... Life, Freedom and Thought are three-in-one, and are everlasting and shall never pass away."

And this is the posted announcement to the Algerian citizens:

The Algerian government imposes, upon its own citizens, intolerable restrictions on their basic liberties. The Algerian government wants to enforce a future where injustices remain unchallenged and where existing exploitation of one man by another remains unpunished. The Algerian government hides the truth from its citizens and denies them free expression and access to information. Let's call for an end to censorship. Now is the time for freedom and transparency, a time for people to express themselves freely and to be heard from anywhere across the world. How else than through well informed citizens can a society prosper and flourish?
The Algerian government hereby declares itself an enemy of Anonymous and the people. Anonymous hears the cries for freedom from the Algerian people, and has decided to step up. We cannot, and will not, remain silent while this injustice is being done. Anonymous will help them in this struggle against oppression. We believe the Algerian attempts at censorship and oppression are doomed to fail if each one of us takes up our individual responsibilities: For only we, the people, decide to make it so.
To the Algerian government: Restrictions on the freedom of speech and denial of information to your citizens are in direct violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and cannot be tolerated. Anonymous challenges all those who are involved in censorship. Not only will Anonymous take action, Anonymous will also make sure that the international media sees the horrid reality you impose upon your people. It is in the hands of the Algerian government to end this; continue your repression and you will be subject to civil protest - lend an ear to the claim of freedom from your people and the hostilities will cease.
To the Algerian people: We stand together and united against this oppression. This struggle is not just for you alone, but for the whole of mankind. Citizens are no longer quiet, and can no longer be simply peddled and choked into submission. When forced to by the threat of oppression, we can be loud as hell - and when the people roar, it will send shivers down the spines of all those who want to stifle our freedom and take our precious liberties away.
Anonymous is your brothers and sisters, your sons and daughters, your parents and your friends, regardless of age, gender, race, religion, ethnicity, or place of birth. Anonymous is you. You will not be denied your right to free speech, free press, free association and your universal right to freely access information, both in real life and through the internet.
Join us in this battle for freedom of information worldwide! For as Edmund Burke once said: "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

Since very few reporters out there are taking a serious interest in Anonymous, or are treating them like a terrorist organization, and much other nonsense. I have been trying in my part to accurately report with the information available to me. It has astounded me the amount of false information that is being broadcast from supposedly very legtimate news agencies all over the world about Anonymous and AnonNews. But said agencies shall remain nameless in the spirit of trying to not take sides.
Be assured that as a writer on Associated Content and Yahoo, I am trying to represent a higher standard on a very current and important group of issues. Thank you for reading and your interest. Will report more current information in the future.
